The Green Gables Shore extends through the middle of the island from the Red Sands Shores to the upper coastline, along the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

This area is most famous for the legendary and lovable Anne of Green Gables, and the fabulous beach areas of the Prince Edward Island National Park at Cavendish and Dalvay-by-the-Sea.

A tourism destination for decades, you’ll find shopping, amusement rides, go-kart rentals, a raceway and lots of water sport activities along the primarily whiter sand beaches.

There are lots of lighthouses and secluded harbours to explore, golf courses to conquer, and a wide variety of accommodations, restaurants and campgrounds to suit any budget.

Attractions include the Kensington Railyards & Welcome Centre, the Anne of Green Gables Museum, Lucy Maud Montgomery Heritage Museum, and Avonlea – Village of Anne of Green Gables.

Remember fresh seafood is abundant everywhere with Lobster Suppers offered in several locations. This shore is also the home of the world-famous Malpeque Oyster.

Deep-sea fishing and kayaking are popular at North Rustico Harbour.
